A wine with character. It comes from the right bank of the Gironde from the Blaye appellation. It's the traditional blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The taste of the wine is tart, warming and definitely dry. The aromas here are subdued but easy to recognize. The bouquet of wine includes accents of plums, currants, peppers and tobacco. This classic fragrance continues in the mouth, where it is somewhat dominated by the intensity of the structure. The wine is recommended for spicy meat dishes, hard cheeses or long-maturing meats.
